This Molten Lava Cake is the ultimate chocolate lover’s dessert soft on the outside with a warm, flowing center. Ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients

- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 4 oz (115g) high-quality dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa)
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp (15g) all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Butter & cocoa powder (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Grease 4 6-ounce ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
- Melt chocolate and butter together using a microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the egg mixture, then add flour, vanilla, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into ramekins, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let the cakes rest for 1 minute, then gently invert them onto plates.
- Serve immediately with ice cream, berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
