Description
This Madeline cookies recipe using cream makes soft, buttery, and delicate treats. Perfect with tea, coffee, or as a light dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
Grease and lightly flour the Madeline pan.
2️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3️⃣ In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until pale.
4️⃣ Add vanilla extract and lemon zest, then mix in heavy cream.
5️⃣ Gently fold in dry ingredients without overmixing.
6️⃣ Stir in melted butter until just combined.
7️⃣ Chill the batter for at least 30 minutes.
8️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
9️⃣ Fill each cavity of the Madeline pan about ¾ full.
🔟 Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
