Description

  • 6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

  • 6 slices of ham

  • 6 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)

  • 1 egg (beaten)

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for frying)


Instructions

  • Prepare the bread: Trim the crusts off the bread slices and roll them flat with a rolling pin.

  • Add the filling: Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each piece of bread.

  • Roll and seal: Tightly roll the bread, pressing gently to seal.

  • Coat the rolls: Dip each roll in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.

  • Cook: Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the rolls until golden brown on all sides (about 3–4 minutes per side).

 

  • Serve: Let them cool for a minute, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
