This Southern classic pairs crispy breaded pork chops with creamy bacon gravy for a comforting dish that’s packed with flavor. Perfect for a hearty family dinner!
Ingredients
4 center-cut pork chops (¾ inch thick)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup milk (plus more for gravy)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
6 slices bacon
2 tbsp flour (for gravy)
2 tbsp bacon drippings
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
Pat pork chops dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with eggs and milk, one with flour again.
Dredge pork chops in flour, then egg, then back in flour.
Heat oil in skillet to 350°F. Fry each chop 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
Cook bacon separately, reserve drippings.
For gravy: whisk flour into bacon drippings, cook until golden, then slowly whisk in 1½ cups milk.
Stir in crumbled bacon, season to taste.
Serve gravy over hot pork chops.
