Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar or honey
- 2 tbsp loose-leaf tea (or 2 tea bags)
- Optional: spices (cinnamon, ginger, vanilla), fruit peels (orange, lemon)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water to a light boil over medium heat.
- Add the tea leaves or tea bags, then let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain out the tea leaves, then stir in sugar (or honey) until dissolved.
- If adding spices or fruit peels, simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Let cool, transfer to a glass jar, and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
